FAQ about our processes for Oil changes
Q: How far will you drive to change my oil?
A: We currently have service vehicles based in the greater Springfield area but expanding quickly.
Q: What do I need to do?
A: There are several small things that you can do to help us serve you. When you arrive at the destination where you intend for the service to be done, please avoid steep grades. If you cannot find a flat area, park the front of the vehicle uphill. We will need to know the location of your vehicle. Upon arrival we will need your keys. They will be returned to you upon completion of service.
Q: Why do you need my keys?
A: We sometimes use ramps to access the underside of the vehicle. We also need your keys because the vehicle needs to be started to ensure that proper oil pressure is maintained and to reset any oil life indicators.
Q: What other services do you offer?
A: Our services are designed to save you time and hassle. We offer Air Filter, Oil Change, Disk Brakes , Tire Rotation, Serpentine Belts ,Bulb Replacement, Headlight Buffing, Wiper Replacement, Battery Replacement and more at your request. All oil changes come with a complementary visual inspection of fluids, and free top off of windshield washer fluid.
Q: Will you still change my oil if it is raining or snowing?
A: Yes, we care about our customers and understand that your time is valuable and that is a big part of why you do business with us. Whenever possible we try to keep scheduled appointments. However, we also care about our employees. Their health and safety is important to us, so from time to time we will have to reschedule because of extreme weather conditions.
Q: Should I use Synthetic oil?
A: Synthetic oil is superior in many ways. It does not break down as quickly as conventional oils, which means it protects your vehicle better and longer.
Q: Do you change oil in Diesel Vehicles?
A: Yes, we do change oil in Diesel vehicles. We specialize in handling passenger vehicles and can easily handle most box trucks. However we do not have the ideal set up to handle larger commercial vehicles (meaning trucks requiring a CDL). We will consider doing one or two large commercial trucks as a part of a larger fleet.
Q: I drive a BMW and usually pay much more to have my oil changed. What do they do that cost so much more?
A: BMW uses BMW branded oil that is made by Castrol. For BMW’s we use Castrol oil made by Castrol. Additionally, most BMW’s require a BMW tool to reset any on board oil life indicators. We are not capable of resetting these indicators. We will still place a sticker in the window to indicate when your oil should be changed.
Q:I drive a Mercedes and usually pay much more to have my oil changed. What do they do that cost so much more?
A: Mercedes use Mobil1 oil. Mobil1 is the brand of oil that we stock and use in all of our synthetic oil changes (except BMWs see above). Most Mercedes require a tool to reset any on board oil life indicators. We are not capable of resetting these indicators. We will still place a sticker in the window to indicate when your oil should be changed.
*Most BMW’s take more than 5 quarts. Our typical BMW and Mercedes oil changes cost around $159.00 plus tax.
